Keeping Our Youth Connected

R.E.A.L. Youth Connections, Inc. partners with secondary schools to provide after-school group mentoring programs for middle school students through our REAL Mentors Program.

Our deep belief is that all students can benefit from the connection mentoring provides. However, we find it is the students, the ones who struggle socially, emotionally, or behaviorally, that benefit the most from the attention our mentors (volunteers from the local community) offer them.

Shared activities open the door to deeper discussions.

It is during these early teen years, as students struggle to establish their own identity, that many experience a deep sense of disconnection with their peers, the adults in their lives, and their community.

Our program serves as a resource dedicated to creating a safe, judgment-free environment where students interact openly with mentors and each other.

It is a place where each student can feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are. And a place where they can begin to see, accept, and believe they matter to their community.

We work closely with schools, administration, teachers, parents, and the local community to coordinate and implement the REAL Mentors Program.

Let’s connect and work together to devise a plan that works for your school, your community, and, most of all, your students.
